"He was mortally wounded by a shot from the Enemy's Brig [brigantine: a vessel with two masts; at least one is square rigged] of War Dispatch, while acting as a Volunteer in the defense of Stonington against the attack of the British Squadron, Aug. 10, 1814"

Frederick was brother to my Isaac DENISON [Jr.]
