In my box of family photographs are several photographs of my maternal side. Some were taken the same day in 1935, probably at 12 Elm St. in Westerly, RI.
Along with family records, the help of another researcher and the 1930 census, I have identified the following people in this photograph. See the last blog post for the group of women in the front.
Back row: J. Frederick BARBER (1866-1949) my great grandfather. Next, Evans STEWART, Jr. (1917-1951) my mother's brother. Next, my great aunt, Dorothy Palmer BARBER (1895-1981), former wife of Harry BLIVEN.
The young man was Roy GAVITT nephew of Martha BLANCHARD and man in the three piece suit is Harold Schofield BARBER (1890-1944) my grandmother's brother.
