GYR: Rocks with an Owl

Unusual Gravestone

This is the second gravestone in my collection of photographs which resembles a pile of rocks. It features a scroll with the names of the deceased (not from my family), some ivy leaves and if you look carefully a very cute owl.

That is a really unusual tombstone! I took one of a stone that was mostly cherub, sitting on the flat part with the name. It's posted on my site, and her name is Cora Pauline Walters. I've not located anything about her yet!

Very interesting! I haven't seen anything like that out here in CA (yet).

That grave belongs to a Giussepa Comoli. Its rumored to be a witch's grave. Whats even more interesting is the way its positioned; it appears to move every time you come back. I'm from Westerly myself. It is a beautiful gravestone; haven't seen anything like it since.
