On 14 June 1965, I graduated from high school which was Cranston High School West in Cranston, Rhode Island. I just put all my diplomas in a Ziplock bag to take with us when we move. I didn't need to look at my diploma for the date. It was a family story repeated over and over.
My mother said to my father that morning, "Go put out the flag, our daughter is graduating from high school!". After he did as he was commanded, he realized that it was Flag Day and he was going to have to do it anyway.
