This oil painting, identified as Mrs. Pearce, was most likely bought by my grandfather because it resembled his wife, my grandmother.
It has lived in four generations of homes. It would be nice if someone could help me with who Mrs. Pearce might be and who was the painter. You may see it in movies. We do. That's fun.
I am reasonable sure it is a copy so it is not of significant value. My son-in-law loves it so we gave it to them for their new house two years ago. My grandson likes looking at her.
Any help would be appreciated.
