Gravestone Photography Bag

Gravestone Photography Bag

Each summer, I clean out the bag that I use to take out on cemetery adventures. This is the basic stuff. I have some new items this year, my photographer's circle and my new very stylish waterproof shoes.

I am hoping to take these items to CT so we can at least visit the graves of my grandparents and maybe to the Cape to look for a memorial grave I have finally located. If it is not a "beach day" maybe I can work it in. If it fits in the car, that is. I sometimes take a mini-version for short trips.

If you click on the photo it will bring you to Flickr and you can see the "note" attached to each item.

I was wondering about the "Sit on This" Advair. Thought it looked a little big to inhale :-)

Do you ever do chalk or foil rubbings during your adventures?

Hi, Ginger,

Foil rubbings are OK if done carefully but using chalk on any type of gravestone is a no-no. If usedm, it must be thoroughly washed off right away after using it and taking the picture.

I carry a extra bottle or two of water in the car just in case I have to gently wash off dirt on a stone to read a date.

Of course, to do that, I have to sit on my big Advair cushion!

I keep telling myself I need to make a bag like this! I am always running off half prepared. Thanks for the ideas.
