Sixteen Years Ago

Dates Web site, a photo by midgefrazel on Flickr.

On a cold evening in December 1996, after months of learning, I posted the first two pages of my own Web site.

Sixteen years have passed and today, on that same day I appeared, I will be leaving my Web page and retiring.

It used to be so much fun working on my Web site. Now, I just get email from fake people wanting me to link to dummy Web pages that are ads for their questionable businesses.

When friend Kathy Schrock gave up her Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators, I knew I was going to have to give up too.

I will still write my blog but this has been too much to try to keep as a useful tool.

Thanks to those who have helped me over the years. You know who you are....
