Diane Haddad of Family Tree Magazine announced the names of the current "Fab Forty" genealogy blogs today and I am pleased to be one of those awarded this honor.
I am pleased because those who voted for me are those people who read my blog and that is a wonderful thing. Also, so many bloggers whose blogs I read and learn from also won that I am excited for them too.I found a really good new one among them and am looking forward to following those posts by Chris Paton. I am a wee bit Scottish! Those ancestors were my stonecutters.
The online article summarizes the winners in this article.
Blogger Midge Frazel (a charter Graveyard Rabbit) visits cemeteries armed with a camera, then posts the pictures and inscriptions. She offers excellent advice for documenting your own ancestors’ graves. The catchy title of this blog is based in family history—several generations of stone carvers inhabit Frazel’s family tree."
The magazine itself will be arriving in the mail shortly and that will renew the excitement for me. I will take a photo of me with the magazine for "archival" purposes. We should all take a photo like that and have Thomas MacEntee post them to the GenaBloggers site.
