I like taking photos of commemorative flag holders for military vets. This one, however, is for a fraternal organization. I always excited when I see one that is not in my collection.

BPOE stands for the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

This is a close-up of the flag holder at the grave of Benjamin Perry Barber.

This is the "generic" flag holder (Rhode Island) placed at graves. Most of the other flag holders I have taken photos of are specific for particular wars.

I don't know when this was placed here but the one at my father's grave is much like it so this may be the one that is replacing older, worn out flag holders.
