Tombstone Tuesday: Wadsworth Cemetery in Sudbury

Probably the oldest stone in this cemetery. Very clear and readable. However, this is a stone erected for the mass grave of men who died during King Phillip's War., so it was probably set many years later in the 1700s.

I am still looking for records for the cemetery.

It is only fair to show the detail in the gate in the Wadsworth cemetery. I was pleased to see that the date on the monument (in the background) matches the date on the gate.

This gate is in such great shape. The town must be taking good care of it.

Tombstone Tuesday

This is a close up of the large monument at the Wadsworth Cemetery in Sudbury, MA.

I stepped inside the gate to take the photo but I was glad the names are large and easily read, just in case there is someone out there who is looking for one of these folks.

Whenever it is available, I always step out of the car and take a street sign or entrance sign photo for the cemetery.

It's not an exciting photo but it does help if you can't remember how you got there or if you have to tell someone else how to get there.

In Sudbury, MA there are several interesting cemeteries that we drive by frequently as we explore our new home.

On a lovely June day, We drove into this cemetery for a few minutes. Isn't this a great gate?
