This faded photo is the one my in-laws chose to have from our wedding photos thirty nine years ago today. As you can see, it is faded and dirty. It was in a frame in their dining room until they moved from their house to a retirement facility. I was hoping it was not lost.
It is the only one of its kind so I have put it in an archival envelope and put it in the album box.
They chose this because they too were married in this very spot in 1937. I thought that was cool family history.
Next year is forty. Guess I should do something special. Not many of my friends have made it together that far.
This blog will serve as a shared resource for those who are interested in gravestone photography, genealogy and family history. Most of the photographs will be of my ancestors or of cemeteries I am photographing, transcribing and researching. [Charter member of The Association of Graveyard Rabbits.]
