James GALLUP

These gravestones all in a row are all of the children of Benadam Gallup and his wife Hannah Avery who all died of Typhoid Fever  (from the CDC's Web site) within 10 years of each other. All information is from the 2009 Gallup genealogy page 93. This is gravestone #60.

James Gallup was born on 1 May 1749 In Groton. He was the fifth child in this family. He died 19 Dec 1770 in Groton at the age of 21. If you look closely, you will see he is referred to as "Mr." indicating that he was an adult when he died.
