Memorial Day Remembrance
Dudley W. STEWART, 1891-1943, brother to Evans STEWART. Dudley was my great uncle and he died before I was born. He was the first person in my Stewart family to be buried in the Denison plot. His parents and grandparents are buried "across the street" in the same cemetery. He was married, but had no children and where his wife is buried, I do not know.
Dudley was a Veteran of World War I and served for Rhode Island as it indicates on his flag holder.
He is buried next to my maternal grandparents in Elm Grove Cemetery, in Mystic, CT.
