It is important to note ALL sides of the headstone, footstone and any large monument for any gravestone you take. Yes, it will take time but you won't be sorry.
I am taking my digital voice recorder to the cemetery with me and I am going to voice record if there is nothing on the sides or back of gravestones.
Notice this gravestone indicates it was a replica of the original headstone and that it was made in 1996.

Hmmm.. I have never seen a gravestone that stated that it was replica. Have you seen very many?
