Another slide belonging to my grandparents shows this lovely harbor view. The sign on the top of the building says Harbor Cove. I am guessing this is
Mystic, Connecticut where my grandparents frequently visited and now are buried in the peaceful Elm Grove Cemetery.(A reader says that it is
not and it doesn't match any place in any of my books about Mystic).
I love the reflection in the water. Cool and refreshing.
Today is my blogoversary! I have been writing this blog since
2006. I really thought I would have run out of things to say by now.
Stranger, stop and cast an eye....

Happy Blogoversary! Came across your blog through the Blogoversary site and I think your blog is very cool. I too love to photograph cemeteries. I think it's important to remember those that have come before us... and so many of the tomb stones are just beautiful or just plain interesting!

Happy Blogo/Bloga/Blogiversary. (How the heck is that 'word' spelled?) Four years? Good job, Midge!
I've been following your scans of slides and they look great! I had a terrible time trying to scan my family photos from the 1950s to 1980s. Many of them had deteriorated and faded, and were falling out of their cardboard squares. They had been stored in a basement so perhaps it was the dampness. Its such a shame because some years my Dad took no photos, only slides. Your slides seem to be in great shape and have scanned beautifully!
