Learning to Dictate

Sometime ago, I bought a new headset for use with Webinars. They are wireless and quite comfortable.

I bought Dragon Naturally Speaking v. 11 and have used it sporadically over the months.

Yesterday, I upgraded to version 12 and I am making a real effort to learn to use it. I think that this means I must do the tutorials AND read the manual. I have already downloaded the manual, quick start guide and user-end workbook.

I am testing it with many well know software products and with some well used Web sites. Stand by while I try to get this accomplished.

Wait! It even works with my phone. OMG.

Thanks for listening. Oh, wait! That's funny.

I hope you are enjoying the new dictation software. I'm really interested to know if you find it useful in your day to day activities. Another friend of mine uses it daily and he loves it, but I found it easier to just use the keyboard. I think it comes down to the amount of patience you have. :) By the way, we have the same desk! How cool is that?

Thanks for the comment. I used it only occasionally but as I have to type more and more these days instead of less and less as I anticipated, I think I'd better find a new way to get things done.

I wasn't sure my desk would survive the move here two years ago. I have many fans of my desk. I wish I was the kind of person who didn't need so big a space to work. At least I'm not alone.
