Cap't Jacob Gallup (Jacob, Nathan, Benadam, Benadam, John, John) and his wife Parthenia Morgan are buried side-by-side and have matching gravestones.  (They are gravestones numbered 51 and 52 by Brian Zoldak in 2014.)

The History of Ledyard (p. 195-196) gives us this information about this couple.

Cap't Gallup served in the War of 1812 and in that year (1812) he married Parthenia who was the daughter of Stephen Morgan and Parthenia Parke. As you can see, Parthenia died at the young age of 34 in 1828, leaving young children, so Jacob married again to Mrs. Sarah (Williams) Bill on 15 Oct 1829. She is not buried in the Gallup graveyard.

I am always glad to see biographical information about people whose gravestones I am blogging about so the fact that he was a farmer, carpenter and politician helps us imagine what his life and times were like.
